Tennessean Hotel Coming to Knoxville
The 82-key property is part of Benchmark’s Gemstone Collection brand.

Knoxville, Tenn.—The Tennessean Hotel will open in downtown Knoxville, Tenn., in April 2017 as part of the Gemstone Collection brand of Benchmark, a global hospitality company. Benchmark will operate the 82-key property, which is being developed on the grounds of the 1982 World’s Fair Park. The site sits on the perimeter of the University of Tennessee campus, a partner of the new hotel.
The hotel offers The Drawing Room, a lounge and bar, as well as the adjacent Park Pavilion, which offers 16,000 square feet of indoor venue space and 12 luxury residences on the top two floors ranging from 1,880 to 2,380 square feet. Each apartment features floor-to-ceiling operable windows, gourmet kitchen with Viking appliances, gas cooktop and fireplace and spa-inspired bathrooms. Amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, access to The Drawing Room, gated garage parking, dedicated private storage, valet parking and room service.
