AtlantaCBRE has facilitated The Atlanta Opera’s lease renewal at Building 300 within the Atlanta Technology Center in West Midtown. The opera will maintain its 15,559-square-foot center of operations, with the option to renew.

The property is owned by ATC Owner LLC and provides the opera with a rehearsal area that can be rented out for performances, space for their corporate offices and a costume shop. A recent renovation included lobby and restroom finishes, video cameras, landscaping and improvements to the parking lot. The landlord has agreed to bring additional upgrades such as a high-end lighting system for the rehearsal space and an outdoor area for guests.

“Sometimes, the best location ends up being in your backyard,” Dale Lewis, senior vice president CBRE Atlanta, said in prepared remarks. “With property values and rental rates on the rise, especially those lacking ample parking, the Atlanta Technology Center offered the Atlanta Opera the best overall package with a prime location, right in the path of progress.”

Lewis, along with CBRE’s Advisory & Transaction Services team, represented the tenant in the transaction.

The Atlanta Technology Center is situated on the path of the BeltLine’s extension, in proximity to Midtown, I-75 and Northside Drive, offering easy access to the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center.
