Transwestern Welcomes New EVP of Agency Leasing
Eric Myers is a veteran in the real estate industry, having gathered more than 25 years of experience holding leadership positions with Avison Young and Tishman Speyer, among other companies.
Transwestern tapped industry veteran Eric Myers as executive vice president of its Agency Leasing group. In his new role, Myers will be in charge of all operations within the program, including managing and executing leasing transactions in Chicago and the Midwest, as well as recruiting, hiring and training new staff.
“Eric’s leadership skills and in-depth knowledge of downtown and suburban Chicago will immediately benefit our clients and lend to our long-term growth in this dynamic market,” said Mike Watts, Midwest president, in prepared remarks.
Working with prestigious clients
Myers brings with him to the role more than 25 years of experience in agency leasing. His previous role placed him with Avison Young, where he served as president, leading the company’s leasing efforts in Chicago and the Midwest. Tishman Speyer, his other reputable employer, gave him the chance to work with prominent clients in the industry such as Dykema Gossett, Wells Fargo and BP in the capacity of senior director of leasing.
Transwestern’s new executive vice president was also president of the Chicago Real Estate Organization and is currently a member of the Chicago Office Leasing Brokers Association. He has been a finalist for the Landlord Office Broker of the Year award several times.
