U-Haul has opened U-Haul Moving & Storage at Texas Central Parkway, a 16,023-square-foot indoor self-storage building in Waco, Texas. The original property opened in 1995 as a truck and trailer sharing facility, also offering moving supplies and outdoor drive-up storage. The new building, which kicked off in 2016, now offers 372 self-storage units.
Located at 200 Texas Central Parkway, the property is situated alongside State Route 84, within 10 minutes of downtown Waco. Approximately 106,000 people live within a five-mile radius, with an average household income of around $47,500. The new facility features indoor, climate-controlled units, 24-hour access, high-tech security features and affordable price points. The 2.1-acre site also features a warehouse for U-Box moving and portable storage containers. Roughly 100 U-Box containers will be available for rent.
“We’re excited to unveil our top-of-the-line self-storage facility,” said Matthew McMillan, president of U-Haul, in prepared remarks. “This will be our first climate-controlled self-storage facility in Waco as we look to invest more in this growing community.”
