UMB Bank signed a 10-year lease at 777 Main St. in Fort Worth, Texas, three months after TEP Barnett USA moved into the 40-story office building. The agreement includes 12,000 square feet of office space on the fifth floor, a 7,000-square-foot lobby and exterior signage on the building.

Located in downtown Fort Worth, the 955,000-square-foot asset offers easy access to and from interstates 35W and 30. The LEED-certified and Energy Star-rated property sits within close proximity of bus stations, restaurants and hotels, including Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Hilton Fort Worth and Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House. 777 Main features 2,300 parking spaces and an on-site conference center.

Acquired in $167M Deal

Mike Gosslee and Jay Holland of Cushman & Wakefield arranged the lease on behalf of the tenant.  According to Yardi Matrix data, the asset is owned by The Brookdale Group, which acquired it in 2014 from Cousins Properties for $167 million. Cushman & Wakefield is in charge of managing the property, while Transwestern serves as leasing manager.

“As we continue to build relationships in the corporate sector and expand our services, it seems only fitting that we showcase our commitment to Fort Worth with a long-term lease at one of the city’s most iconic buildings,” Cliff Keiser, president of UMB Bank within the Fort Worth office, said in prepared remarks.
