University Heights Retail Center Sold with Help from Colliers

San Diego continues to grow at a strong rate, bringing attention to local retail properties.

San Diego—Hillside Village Plaza in San Diego’s University Heights was recently acquired for a total of $5.3 million. The transaction was handled by Colliers International San Diego region representative Mark McEwen, on behalf of sellers McEwen-Otay and MP McEwen I. The new owner, Hillside Shopping Center LLC, used no outside representation in the process.

Located at 1901-1905 El Cajon Blvd., the property will continue to be managed by Reef Real Estate Services. Built in 1985, the asset offers 18,864 square feet of retail space and is subject to a long-term ground lease. The current tenant roster consists of 7-Eleven, Sally Beauty Supply, Subway, Domino’s, H&R Block, WingStop, Chase, and Check Into Cash.
