University of Michigan Unveils New Building
The 104,000-square-foot structure includes classrooms, as well as office spaces.
Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for Blau Hall
Ann Arbor, Mich.—The University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business opened their new academic building, the Jeff T. Blau Hall. The 104,000-square-foot facility is located within the university’s Ann Arbor campus and was named after Jeff Blau, CEO of Related Cos.
The structure has six floors and includes nine classrooms, a career service center and office space for some of the school’s departments such as operations, finance, development and human resources. “The new buildings keep Michigan Ross at the cutting edge of technology and provide inspiring new spaces to study and work. Most important, however, they are specifically designed to encourage collaboration, creativity and innovation among our students and our staff and in doing that, they help keep our school among the very best in the world,” Blau said at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Blau donated $10 million for the project, while Stephen Ross, chairman & founder of Related Cos., contributed $100 million to the expansion. Both are University of Michigan alumni. To date, Ross donated more than $313 million to the school.
