UniversalPegasus International has renewed its lease for 113,114 square feet for its corporate headquarters in Houston. The engineering and project management firm, which services the energy industry, has been a longtime tenant at Loop Central.
A Transwestern team of David Baker, Doug Little and Kelli Gault represented the landlord, a joint venture of Griffin Partners and Wheelock Street Capital, in the deal. Lucian Bukowski of CBRE represented the tenant.
The Loop Central asset is a three-building office campus located at 4848 Loop Central Drive near the Uptown/Galleria and Greenway Plaza submarkets. The complex has frontage along the Westpark Tollway, providing easy access to Houston’s western suburbs.
The building ownership plans to add new amenities to the campus, including a tenant lounge, fitness center, conference center and improved food service offerings. Outdoor seating and walking trails are also in the works at the complex.
“Loop Central has proven to be a convenient central location and cost-effective office solution for our people over the years and we are pleased that it will continue to be the home of our headquarters in Houston,” said UPI Chief Financial Officer Kevin Kelly, in prepared remarks.
