US Storage Centers, together with The Feldman Cos., has completed the development of a four-story, 1,120-unit self-storage facility in North Miami. The new development marks the company’s seventh facility in the area.

At 1396 N.E. 125th St., the 147,027-square-foot asset is located just off Interstate 95 and is 20 minutes from downtown Miami. The area is densely populated, and nearly half of residents live in rented homes. The newly built asset features climate-controlled units ranging in size from 25 to 480 square feet. Other features include covered loading and unloading areas, passenger elevators, video monitoring, gated and non-gated keypad access, alarmed units and boxes, as well as moving supplies and moving carts.

“North Miami is a vibrant, growing area that is sought after by anyone looking for a wonderful climate, demographically diverse and economically strong area to live, work and play,” said Charles Byerly, president & CEO of US Storage Centers, in prepared remarks. “US Storage Centers has a very large presence in South Florida, specifically Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. We will continue to look to grow our presence in the coming years as the market allows and will continue to operate here for years to come.”

Other Miami self-storage facilities under construction include a 96,295-square-foot development by Mequity LLC.
