Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts has opened Waldorf Astoria Bangkok, a 171-key hotel in the heart of Bangkok, marking its first property in Southeast Asia. Magnolia Quality Development Corp. Ltd owns the asset, while Hilton manages it.

The 60-story building is located at 151 Ratchadamri Road, at the Ratchaprasong intersection and offers convenient access to some of the areas shopping centers, including Gaysorn Village mall. Charoenkrung Creative District, Grand Palace, the Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS) Skytrain and the city’s flower market are also nearby.

Waldorf Astoria Bangkok features common-area amenities including Magnolia Ballroom, a more than 7,800-square-foot event room for as many as 700 people, three unique restaurant concepts, a lounge and two bars. Additionally, an open-air infinity pool with private cabanas, a 24-hour fitness center, a spa and a rooftop restaurant are available at the hotel. Architect Andre Fu and his design studio AFSO designed the rooms.

Back in September, Hilton-branded Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts signed an agreement with Ithaafushi Investments Pvt. to open Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, a 138-key hotel in Maldives.
