Westmount Welcomes New Managing Director

Jim Fant has more than 34 years of experience in commercial real estate. He will oversee the acquisition process and manage the acquisition team.

Westmount Realty Capital named Jim Fant as executive managing director, acquisitions. He will oversee the acquisition process and manage the acquisition team.

With more than 34 years of experience in commercial real estate, Fant worked at MEPC American Properties, MetroAmerican or Kennedy Associates Real Estate. Most recently, he served as senior vice president at Behringer for 12 years, overseeing the acquisition process, sourcing potential new acquisitions and managing the acquisition team. Fant was instrumental in the acquisition of more than $5 billion in real estate for core, value-add and opportunistic investment strategies. Prior to that, he was president of JDFant Consulting, where he assisted small companies and individuals with business plan development and refinement, project and enterprise financing.

A certified public accountant and a licensed real estate broker in Texas, he is a member of Urban Land Institute, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from The University of Texas at Arlington.
