WeWork to Open Second Buckhead Location

Cousins Properties has signed a 14-year lease with WeWork at Terminus 100, a Class A+, 27-story office tower in the Buckhead submarket of Atlanta. The office sharing company will occupy 48,000 square feet in the 660,000-square-foot-building, and plans to open its new location in the spring.

WeWork opened its first Atlanta office in 2016 at Starwood Capital Group’s Tower Place 100 located at 3340 Peachtree Road NE. Terminus 100 is located at 3280 Peachtree Road NE, at the corner of Peachtree and Piedmont. The building was completed in 2007 and is LEED Gold certified. On-site amenities include restaurants, banking, café and a car wash. The location provides access to public transportation, with the MARTA Buckhead station just two blocks away.

Stabilized asset

According to Yardi Matrix, the property was subject to a $140 million mortgage loan in 2013. The long-term loan was originated by Northwestern Mutual and is scheduled to mature in January 2023.

Late last year, WeWork signed an 86,000-square-foot lease at Hines’ OSKAR building in Munich. This location marks WeWork’s first coworking location in Munich.
