WeWork has selected Transwestern Real Estate Services as broker for the firm’s new 60,000-square-foot coworking space in Bethesda, Md. The flex offices are part of The Wilson, a 23-story office building totaling 362,643 square feet, owned by Carr Properties, according to CommercialEdge data.

The new coworking space at 7272 Wisconsin Ave. comprises dedicated desks, individual suites, meeting rooms and private floors, as well as common areas, to individual workers and bigger teams. Members have access to classroom spaces, an outdoor plaza, a fitness center, a multipurpose rooftop, bike storage, a lounge and a mother’s room.

The office building is within walking distance of Bethesda Row shopping mall and numerous dining and retail options, such as Trader Joe’s and Giant Food. Washington D.C. is roughly 7 miles southeast of the property, connected directly through Maryland Route 355. Other tenants at the property include Walker & Dunlop, Enviva and The Emerson Associates, according to CommercialEdge.

WeWork is growing and diversifying its flex office portfolio, currently holding more than 700 locations globally, with 14 coworking spaces in Washington D.C. In July, the company partnered with Yardi for the launch of a flex office platform, offering solutions for individual workers. Moreover, last month WeWork teamed up with 11 cities and organizations in major global markets to create a platform that helps them create and implement hybrid workspaces.
