WeWork has partnered with Yardi Systems to enhance WeWork Workplace, a software focused on providing flexible workplace strategies. The platform will offer third parties the option to coordinate booking desks, private offices or conference rooms among hybrid workers in any WeWork location. The product is set to launch in July.

The partnership will bring together Yardi’s software and WeWork’s global network of around 26,000 small and medium-sized businesses and 2,300 enterprise clients, including 63 percent of Fortune 100 companies.

New age, new workplaces

Flexibility and mobility have become a key part of the workplace experience. As the pandemic has revealed that work doesn’t have to be limited to the traditional office, employees want the opportunity to work in different locations, including their home. In the U.S., around 52 percent of employees would prefer their organization to embrace the hybrid work model, according to McKinsey research cited by Forbes.

The hybrid work model advocates for efficiency and connectivity, and technology plays an important role in that. Besides better occupancy planning, enhanced technology can also lead to a better overall work experience. A hybrid work model can offer such benefits as lower costs for employers, more productive employees and reduced commuting hours—which also has positive environmental impacts.
