The move corresponds to office users’ rising interest in flexible space strategies.

Yardi Systems has launched CoworkingCafe.com, expanding its suite of coworking and flex office tools. The company also acquired CoworkingMag, a digital magazine that focuses on coworking news and trends, launched in 2018. Together with the existing Yardi Kube platform, users now have access to an end-to-end solution for coworking.

CoworkingCafe offers real-time availability of coworking spaces across the U.S. Users can book and pay for a desk, meeting rooms or a complete office package. The new platform offers detailed information about amenities, floorplans, along with photos and 360-degree videos of coworking spaces. A new feature allows for real-time booking for conference rooms and private offices.

A seamless solution

Features for owners and operators of coworking spaces include management of inventory, marketing collateral, availability and pricing. Spaces are marketed across Yardi’s five other commercial listing platforms—CommercialSearch, PropertyShark, 42Floors and Point2. Yardi Kube users also benefit from a seamless integration with the new platform—managing marketing collateral, operations, accounting, communications, data and WiFi, along with customer contracts and other features working as a single connected solution.

Coworking operators also benefit from the addition of CoworkingMag to the Yardi family, boosting listing visibility and lead generation. The magazine consistently ranks among the top results for coworking searches in the U.S. According to Yardi Senior Vice President Rob Teel, the acquisition accelerates the company’s efforts through its online presence, while Kube clients benefit from an expanded audience.

Combined, Yardi’s commercial listing platforms attract 2 million monthly visits and generate roughly 300,000 leads per year. Earlier this year, Yardi also announced its partnership with WeWork, providing a software focused on flexible work strategies.

The growing need for hybrid and remote working solutions has brought the spotlight again on coworking spaces. As tenants move away from traditional office, migration trends also show that secondary and tertiary markets will grow, argued James Koman, CEO & Founder of ElmTree Funds, in a recent interview with Commercial Property Executive.
